Unity Tutorial 8

The Last two tutorials for Ruby were a nice way to end the game creating process. Even from making a game last year I feel the thing that really made it feel like a real game was when you added audio and sounds to the game. Giving background music helps to bring it all together. It was a nice touch to add sounds to collecting health and also to shooting the cogs.

Being shown how to properly 'build' the game as well was useful for future projects. Overall Ruby had it's ups and downs. There was some moments to really enjoy like building the world Ruby gets to explore was a highlight. However some of the coding was impossible to understand and as much as you follow the tutorials there is something that goes wrong and is impossible to fix. It was great to see this character come to life and animate both Ruby and the Robot enemies. It is a good first step in game design and showing what you can create for a 2D game.
